The event is being held in accordance with the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation to ensure the global competitiveness of Russia's transport corridors, including the implementation of decrees within the framework of national goals until 2030 and for the future until 2036, and will be held for the first time on April 1-3, 2026 in St. Petersburg.
"Today we have witnessed a fundamental reassembly of global logistics chains. In the context of the formation of a multipolar world, the International Transport and Logistics Forum is becoming not just a discussion platform, but an intellectual headquarters for designing a new architecture of transport connectivity. The development of Arctic routes, as well as international transport corridors in the Eurasian space and the integration of the countries of the African continent into them is a technical, regulatory, and legal task, the solution of which will serve as an instrument to ensure the economic sovereignty of our states. Russia, with its unique geographical and technological potential, is ready to act as a professional dialogue platform, offering partners in Greater Eurasia and the African continent opportunities and solutions based on the free exchange of knowledge and access to the latest technologies," said Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, Executive Secretary of the Organizing Committee for the Preparation and Holding of the International Transport and Logistics Forum. The Forum focuses on the development of international transport corridors (ITCs), strengthening integration ties within the Union State, the EAEU, and the CIS, improving the regulatory framework at the level of global industry regulators, as well as harnessing the potential of organizations such as the SCO and BRICS.
"The International Transport and Logistics Forum will become an important platform for developing solutions to create a competitive logistics infrastructure in Greater Eurasia. The development of North—South corridors, Arctic routes, and multimodal transportation will strengthen Russia's position as a global transport hub within the EAEU and SCO, and a multilateral dialogue will allow for the exchange of best practices and technologies to improve the efficiency of transport systems, increase trade and investment, and strengthen economic connectivity with partner countries," the minister said. The discussions will focus on the development of the MTK infrastructure, cargo and passenger logistics, the introduction of innovative technologies and digital services, as well as regulatory and legal regulation of the transport industry.
The architecture of the Forum's business program is centered around three main thematic tracks. Strategic dialogues and events within the framework of the work of international transport organizations will also be held on the sidelines of the Forum.
The first track, Logistics and Transport Industries, will cover a wide range of strategic topics aimed at improving the modern international transport system. The focus will be on the implementation of international agreements in the field of air, road, rail and water transport infrastructure, and tourism development.
The track "Global Connectivity and Transport Corridors" will focus on the role of transport arteries as drivers of global integration. The transit potential of Russia will be considered in detail, the participants will discuss the creation and expansion of international transport hubs, the potential of the Azov-Black Sea basin and the Northern Sea Route as a new logistics axis of Russia. The agenda also includes dialogues on the international expansion of transport companies and the removal of barriers in the field of international cargo transportation.
The track "Digitalization and the future of Transport" will become a platform for discussing key areas of development of the transport industry through the prism of digital technologies and the introduction of autonomous unmanned systems. The discussion will conclude with general issues of innovation and digitalization in transport.
The Forum goes beyond discussing practical solutions and sharing industry knowledge in the transport sector, offering an extensive interstate agenda on issues of regulatory and tariff regulation of transport systems, as well as issues of ensuring global connectivity. The event will include key meetings, including a meeting of Heads of Transport Control authorities of the Eurasian Economic Union member States, as well as a meeting of the Joint Commission on the Implementation of the Intergovernmental Agreement on International Road Transport on the Asian Highway Network. The Council of Heads of Authorized Bodies in the field of transport of the EAEU Member States will work.
