The St. Petersburg House of Music celebrates its 20th anniversary with a grand concert program. The institution has become a real place of strength for thousands of aspiring artists. Renowned masters share their invaluable experience, which makes the education system unique.

One of the most famous concerts in the world for solo cello and orchestra by Antonin Dvorak. Sergey Roldugin, People's Artist of Russia, Artistic director of the St. Petersburg House of Music, and the renowned St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra are on stage. People come from other cities for this kind of evening. This concert at the Philharmonic is one of many dedicated to the anniversary of the St. Petersburg House of Music.

"It's all happening here, it's being born here. The concert hall. Young people come here who declare themselves," Roldugin said.

Skeptics said: why would St. Petersburg, where there are music schools, a conservatory, a philharmonic society and world-famous theaters, also need a House of Music? But Roldugin insisted: we need a place that unites all this, will look for gifted musicians, teach them and give them the opportunity to perform on the best stages.

"Our only criterion is talent. We must support the talents. We must support them and give them the opportunity to realize themselves," said the People's Artist of Russia.

It took a lot of effort to restore the palace of Grand Duke Alexei Alexandrovich, but they returned its architectural pearl to St. Petersburg and created a House of Music within its walls, whose soloists are now known all over the world.

"It was the House of Music that really began to support young people in their career development and formation," said Pavel Milyukov, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, soloist of the St. Petersburg House of Music.

Over the years, more than 3,000 concerts have been held in Russia and abroad with the participation of students from this unique institution.

"One of the things that I will always remember is the trip to Japan after the Tchaikovsky Competition, thanks also to the House of Music, where I managed to perform successfully," said Fyodor Osver, soloist of the St. Petersburg House of Music, a student at the Moscow Conservatory.

The best get on stage, and numerous educational projects help to improve the skills of young musicians.

The firstborn project of the House of Music, the River of Talents, originates in the mansion on Moika. This fall is the 20th season.

"There is a tremendous amount of work in terms of volume, coverage of territories, coverage of children, and not only children," said Valery Pyasetsky, rector of the Central Music School, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation.

"Higher Performing courses" fine-tune the technique of musicians. And of course, the "Summer Academy". Over the years, almost 3.5 thousand talented musicians have acquired invaluable experience from recognized masters in all projects of the House of Music for free. And this unique education system is being scaled across the country, including Sirius.

"Having three generations of musicians on the same stage is exactly the model of the St. Petersburg House of Music. This is a model by Sergey Pavlovich [Roldugin]. You know, this approach and working with talents are only available in Russia," said Elena Shmeleva, Chairman of the Council of the Sirius Federal Territory.

The launch of the "Masters" cycle is timed to coincide with the anniversary of the House of Music. Teachers and soloists who have become stars are on the same stage. One of the concerts was held at the Nikolaevsky Palace.

"He's also a part of the House of Music now. A larger space provides more opportunities for the development of young musicians. Workshops and concerts will also be held here, and part of the buildings has been given over to the conservatory's music school," said Roman Ishmukhametov, a columnist for Izvestia.

Thematic exhibitions are already taking place here. The country's largest publishing house of specialized literature, Muzyka, which has become state—owned again, presents its books. His methodical work will be supervised by Sergey Roldugin. It is extremely important that such literature be created under the editorship of recognized luminaries. Pupils of the House of Music will be among them in the future.

Last November, the St. Petersburg House of Music held higher performing courses for 20 young musicians in Yalta. The best teachers of the country studied with the students of the Conservatory for 10 days.
