A container ship caught fire in St. Petersburg
In St. Petersburg, on the night of February 4-5, a container ship caught fire. This was reported on February 5 by a source of Izvestia.
It is noted that after the cotton, smoke appeared in the engine room, after which a fire broke out in the superstructure area.
There may have been 22 people on the ship.

In June 2025, a fire broke out on a fishing vessel in Vladivostok. 70 employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations and 17 pieces of equipment took part in eliminating the fire. One person was killed in the incident. The Eastern Interregional Investigation Department for Transport (MCT) of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia has opened a criminal case into the incident. The fire was successfully extinguished.
