Denmark has tightened control over oil tankers. This was announced on February 5 by Russian Ambassador to Copenhagen Vladimir Barbin.

"Denmark has tightened control over tankers <...> when passing through the Baltic (Danish) Straits and receiving service on the raid," Barbin said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

At the same time, the Scandinavian country gives and takes similar collective measures at the level of the European Union (EU) or NATO.
