The human brain begins to age at 36-39 years of age. This was announced on February 5 by Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Deputy President of the Russian Academy of Education Gennady Onishchenko.

"Basically, that's the age — 36-39 years old," Onishchenko said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

He added that everyone's brain aging proceeds in different ways, which is also influenced by a genetic predisposition.
