The State Duma announced the payment dates for housing and communal services in January and February

Payment for housing and communal services for January must be made no later than February 10, and for February — no later than March 10. This was announced on February 5 by Alexander Yakubovsky, a member of the State Duma Committee on Construction and Housing and Communal Services.

"Payment for utilities for January must be made no later than February 10, for February — no later than March 10. These deadlines are valid within the framework of the previous procedure and remain for two more billing periods," Yakubovsky told RIA Novosti.

The parliamentarian added that payments can be made in the usual ways — through banks and mobile applications, personal accounts of management companies and resource supply organizations, the portal of Public Services, as well as in post offices and bank cash desks.

"Citizens are advised to use non—cash payment methods and save payment confirmation to avoid possible disputes," he stressed.

The Antimonopoly Service will have the right to set prices independently.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that State Duma Deputy Dmitry Gusev proposed to provide installment heating payments for pensioners and large families. The letter to Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin indicated that installments can be up to six months in proportion to each month of the heating season, while citizens will be able to opt out of this option and pay for services as usual.
