The head of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs announced a gradual reduction in the key rate at Central Bank meetings until April.

Until April of this year, the Central Bank (CB) will not take drastic steps to reduce the key rate, reducing its value will be carried out in small steps of 50 basis points. This was announced on February 4 by Alexander Shokhin, head of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP).

"At the recent meeting of the president with members of the government, the figure of 12-13% was again heard. Based on the optimal approach, we can go down from 16% to 13%. But this should be reduced by 50 basis points at each meeting in practice. That would be the right thing to do," he told reporters.
