The case of the death of three children in a fire in Transbaikalia was brought to court

A criminal investigation into the deaths of three young children in a fire in a private house has been completed in the Trans-Baikal Territory. The person involved in it is the 27-year-old mother of the victims, according to the regional Investigative Committee of Russia.

According to the investigation, on the afternoon of October 19, 2025, in the village of Chikichi, the girl left the house, leaving her three sons unattended. When she returned an hour later, she discovered a fire and managed to get two boys out of the fire.

One of the children showed no signs of life. She went to the hospital with her second, one-year-old baby, but the child died on the way. Rescuers arrived during the extinguishing of the house and found the body of the third son, writes ChitaMedia news agency.

The investigation of the criminal case under Part 3 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Causing death by negligence to three persons" has been completed. The materials were submitted to the court for consideration on the merits.

In January, it was reported that a criminal investigation into a fire that killed three children and their mother had been completed in the Moscow region. The person involved is the father of the family, who brought tricycle batteries into the apartment and put them to charge in the hallway next to 10 household gas cylinders and solvent tanks. During the fire, a family of seven children was cut off from the front door.
