On February 4, Microsoft founder Bill Gates called his conversation with financier Jeffrey Epstein nonsense.

"Every minute I've spent with him, I regret and apologize for doing this. I was stupid to waste time on him," she said in an interview with 9News TV channel.

Gates denies the allegations contained in Epstein's published documents, which allege that Gates used him to arrange meetings with women. According to the Microsoft founder, these emails are false and have never been sent.

He admitted that he had met with Epstein in 2011-2014, but had never visited his island or had relationships with women. Gates also spoke in the interview about his charitable work, the revolutionary role of artificial intelligence in healthcare, and supported the Australian ban on social media for children under 16.

On the same day, it was reported that Epstein's files mentioned Gates, singer Alla Pugacheva, Russian musician Andrei Makarevich (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation), one of the members of the Russian pop group Ivanushki International, as well as dozens of Russian cities.

The US Department of Justice began publishing Epstein's files after US President Donald Trump signed a bill on November 19 to make them public. On December 20, Maria Zakharova, an official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, joked about a queue of people who wanted to get acquainted with documents declassified on the website of the US Department of Justice.
