The Bulgarian authorities allowed the Kozloduy NPP to buy all the necessary equipment from Russia. This was reported on February 4 in the government press service.

"Since most of the systems and equipment at the NPP are of Russian origin, some contracts for the supply of equipment related to the reliable and safe operation of the fifth and sixth power units of the Kozloduy NPP have been concluded or will be concluded with Russian manufacturers," TASS reports.

It is noted that this decision was made due to the need to maintain technical safety at the station. At the same time, according to the report, this can be achieved only by purchasing elements and spare parts from the equipment manufacturer.

Deputy Speaker of the Slovak Parliament Tibor Gaspar told Izvestia on February 2 that Slovakia has no plans to terminate the contract with Russia for the supply of nuclear fuel for nuclear power plants. Therefore, Slovakia is acting pragmatically: in parallel, it is working to diversify nuclear fuel suppliers, but at the same time it ensures the safe and uninterrupted operation of nuclear power plants.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
