Geely unveils global strategy until 2030

By 2030, Geely Holding Group plans to ensure that 75% of total sales are electric and hybrid models. This goal is contained in the global strategy of the Chinese manufacturer, the company shared details about it with Izvestia on February 4.

This year, Geely intends to start manufacturing solid-state batteries and conduct comprehensive testing in real-world operation. Such batteries have a larger capacity, which will increase the power reserve of electric cars, and a higher level of safety.

The company said that by the end of 2025, Geely Holding Group took seventh place in the ranking of the world's largest automakers in terms of sales, having sold 4.12 million vehicles. By 2030, this figure is expected to be increased by 58%, which will allow reaching the level of annual revenue of 1 trillion yuan.

Geely's annual sales volume is expected to reach 6.5 million vehicles in all markets in four years. By 2030, the group's sales outside China should reach 1.95 million vehicles (30% of the total sales plan). By the end of 2025, Geely Auto's global sales reached 3.02 million (+39%). 2.45 million cars were sold directly under the Geely brand, including 1.34 million units in China, where Monjaro and Atlas became the bestsellers among models with internal combustion engines.

In addition, Geely plans to develop business projects in related industries. She will continue to invest in the creation of flying cars within the framework of the technology company Airfugia, which is part of her structure. With the help of Geesatcom satellites, developed by Geespace, part of the concern, the automaker intends to improve the quality of technologies related to intelligent driving. In the short term, the company will begin mass production of models equipped with L4-level autonomous control systems.

Earlier, on February 2, Geely announced Russian sales of a new modification of the Geely Atlas crossover. In the new front-wheel drive version, it is equipped not with a two-liter 200-horsepower engine, as before, but with a less powerful 1.5-liter unit. The price starts from 3.45 million rubles.
