A street in Ramenki was named in honor of actor Vladimir Etush.

Vladimir Etusha Street will appear in the west of Moscow. It will become part of the cinema quarter in Ramenki, where 11 streets already bear the names of famous Russian directors and actors. This is stated in a message posted on the portal. mos.ru .

The new street runs between Lobachevsky and Vasily Lanovoy streets, near the house 116 on Lobachevsky Street. The decree on naming her after Etusha was signed at a meeting of the Presidium of the Moscow government. The Ramenki quarter already has streets of Alexei Batalov, Sergei Bondarchuk, Oleg Tabakov, Anatoly Papanov, Evgeny Evstigneev and other famous filmmakers.

Etush was born in Moscow on May 6, 1922. With the outbreak of the Great Patriotic War, he volunteered for the front in 1941, participated in the liberation of Rostov-on-Don and the cities of the Ukrainian SSR, and was awarded the Order of the Red Star. In 1943, he was seriously wounded near Zaporizhia and returned to Moscow. After graduating from the Shchukin Theater College, he was accepted into the Evgeny Vakhtangov Theater, where he soon became one of the leading actors. He began teaching at the same college in 1945, and later became a professor, rector, and artistic director of the university.

Among Etush's most striking film works are the roles of Comrade Saakhov in the film "The Caucasian Prisoner, or the New Adventures of Shurik", engineer Bruns in the film "The Twelve Chairs", dentist Shpak in the comedy "Ivan Vasilyevich changes his Profession", Karabas—Barabas in "The Adventures of Pinocchio".

Etush died on March 9, 2019. The actor and teacher was buried at the Novodevichy cemetery.
