Kipelov spoke about unity with Belgorod residents during the concert
The band "Kipelov" experienced real unity with the residents of Belgorod who came to the concert when the electricity was turned off in the city and the band continued performing in the dark. The leader of the group, Valery Kipelov, told Izvestia about this on February 4.
"We found the acoustic guitar of our guitarist Slavik, he quickly tuned it, the drummer took a tambourine. The technical guys set up a high chair, and we went to the forefront," he explained.
Kipelov admitted that it was a shame to end the concert, and the band decided to support the fans who were chanting their songs.
"I want to express my deep gratitude to the residents of Belgorod for their courage, for their resilience, for being simply wonderful. There was such amazing support that it was impossible not to respond to it," the musician concluded.
On the same day, Alexander Manyakin, the drummer of the Kipelov band, said that the power outage in Belgorod during the concert did not prevent the musicians from performing a high-quality performance. He noted that different situations happen, and there is "nothing special" about turning off the lights for performances.
The band "Kipelov" continued to perform in Belgorod, despite the blackout. People stayed to sing along with the artists. The concert continued without speakers and microphones in a chamber atmosphere.
