A car burned down in the Krasnoyarsk Territory due to engine autorun

In Zheleznogorsk (Krasnoyarsk Territory), a Skoda car caught fire, left on the engine autorun. This was announced on Wednesday, February 4, according to the press service of the special directorate of FPS No. 2 of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.

The incident occurred in the courtyard at 60 let VLKSM Street, 58. A message about a foreign car that had burst into flames was received earlier in the morning. The duty guard of the Russian Emergency Medical Center No. 10 went to the place.

Smoke was coming out of the car when the unit arrived. Specialists eliminated the fire. The fire destroyed the engine compartment of the car, the paintwork of the hood and front fenders.

The cause of the fire has been established, writes KrasnoyarskMedia news agency. It became an emergency mode of operation of the power grid during the operation of the autorun system to warm up the engine.

In connection with the incident, citizens are asked not to leave unattended cars with a working autorun system. It is also important that there is always a fire extinguisher with a volume of at least 2 liters and a first-aid kit in the cabin.

Earlier, an auto expert named several main causes of a fire in a car in winter. Among them are a short circuit and poorly installed heating elements.
