Alexander Bastrykin, Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, demanded that a criminal case be opened against Vladimir Kolpikov, a judge of the Tver Regional Court, on fraud on an especially large scale. This was announced on Wednesday morning, February 4, on the website of the press service of the department.
"The Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the city of Moscow conducted an inspection against Vladimir Kolpikov, a judge of the Tver Regional Court, on the fact of fraud, that is, theft of other people's property by deception committed by a person using his official position on an especially large scale (Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). <...> According to the results of the inspection <... >Alexander Ivanovich Bastrykin has sent a submission to the Higher Qualification Board of Judges to consent to the initiation of a criminal case," the statement said.
