In the Moscow region, a moose waited for a bus at a bus stop and tried to enter the cabin

A moose standing at one of the stops located in the Moscow region was trying to board a stopped passenger bus. This was announced on Wednesday morning, February 4, by the press service of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Russian Federation.

"Perhaps, having heard calls to use public transport in low temperatures, the moose first waited for the bus at the bus stop, and then even tried to enter the salon," the agency said in a Telegram channel message.

It also notes that these animals are unpredictable, so motorists should be extremely careful when they find them in their visual field. The State Traffic Inspectorate called on people driving vehicles to slow down in case of fixation of forest animals.

On January 5, the press service of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Leningrad Region reported that a hunter who mistook a car for a moose accidentally shot the driver. A criminal case was opened under Part 1 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing death by negligence") on the fact of the crime committed by a 27-year-old citizen who is part of a hunting group.
