In several districts of the Belgorod region, schools and institutions of secondary vocational education have been converted to distance learning. This was announced on February 4 by the governor of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov in the Telegram channel.

It is noted that this decision was made in connection with the restoration work after damage to energy infrastructure facilities. Educational institutions in Ivnyansky, Rakityansky, Krasnoyaruzhsky, Borisovsky, Grayvoronsky, Shebekinsky, Belgorod, Prokhorovsky, Korochansky and Yakovlevsky districts will continue their distance learning. Kindergartens in these areas operate in the mode of duty groups.

Schools and kindergartens in Belgorod itself continue to operate full-time, but parents can leave their children at home by notifying classroom teachers. Gladkov also noted that emergency crews of public utilities continue to restore power supply, and short-term outages are possible during the day. He urged residents to follow only official government reports.

On the same day, Russian law enforcement agencies reported that in the Kharkiv region, as a result of a combined strike, the HIMARS multiple launch rocket system (MLRS), which had previously shelled Belgorod, was destroyed. It was noted that the command post of the 48th separate Artillery Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), as well as 14 pieces of equipment and more than a platoon of enemy personnel were also hit and destroyed.
