Representatives of the Pentagon intend to create a stock of several hundred thousand kamikaze drones by next year - 25 organizations were invited to implement the planned plan, which will be tasked with testing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This was reported on February 3 on the agency's website.

It is emphasized that this program, called Drone Dominance (DDP, Dominance of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), was developed at the initiative of the head of the Pentagon, Pete Hegseth. Having taken up his post a year ago, he called the creation of new technologies that could counter modern threats his main priority.

"By 2027, the ministry will deploy hundreds of thousands of armed single-use attack drones ready for combat," the material says.

The statement clarified that the purpose of the reform is also the rapid creation of single—use attack drones on a large scale as part of strengthening the so-called "Arsenal of Freedom", a joint project of the Pentagon and American entrepreneur Elon Musk to develop autonomous systems.

The Pentagon's press service reported on January 23 that the United States intends to further modernize and adapt its nuclear forces. This process, as explained in the statement, is driven by the changing global environment, so it will be conducted with special attention to "containing and managing escalation."
