Tatyana Butskaya, deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, first deputy chairman of the Committee for Family Protection, Fatherhood, Motherhood and Childhood, appealed to the authorities of St. Petersburg to provide a report on the facts of inspections of the living conditions of the abducted and murdered nine-year-old boy. This became known on February 3.

"I ask you to inform me whether the minor was registered with the guardianship and guardianship authorities of St. Petersburg, whether inspections of his living conditions and upbringing were carried out, and whether information about violations of his rights, in particular the right to education, was received from schools or other institutions," TASS cites the contents of the relevant document.
