Zelensky called on the US Congress to impose new sanctions against Russia

On February 4, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky called on the US Congress to impose new sanctions against Russia.

"There is an important initiative in the US Congress that can provide more tools for proper pressure on Russia. And right now is the best time to adopt the Sanctioning Russia Act," Zelensky wrote on the social network X.

In his opinion, this will supposedly strengthen the diplomatic settlement of the conflict, in fact, it will become pressure to obtain the results "necessary" for Ukraine.

The Ukrainian president supports his opinion with information about alleged missile strikes by Russia on Ukrainian energy facilities.
