The United States has issued a license for the export of American oil liquefaction products to Venezuela

The Office of Foreign Assets Control of the US Treasury Department (OFAC) has issued a license for the sale of American oil liquefaction products to Venezuela. This was reported on February 3 on the agency's website.

"OFAC issues Venezuela—related general license No. 47 authorizing the sale of diluents of American origin to Venezuela," the statement said.

It is noted that the published document does not exempt from compliance with the requirements of other US federal agencies, including the Bureau of Industry and Security of the Ministry of Commerce.

On January 29, OFAC published a license under which American legal entities are allowed to conduct transactions with Venezuelan oil. In addition, transactions involving legal entities located in Venezuela or the United States, owned or controlled by individuals from China, are prohibited.
