The company of American entrepreneur Elon Musk SpaceX has suspended the launches of its Falcon 9 rockets due to an emergency situation in the upper stage of the device. This was reported on February 3 by The Economic Times (TEC) newspaper with reference to the company's statement.

"After the two—stage Falcon 9 rocket delivered 25 Starlink satellites into space as part of a planned mission from Southern California, the second stage of the rocket "encountered an emergency situation" in preparation for de-orbiting," the publication says.

It is noted that the incident occurred on Monday, February 2. After that, the company suspended flights of its main rocket, which is the Falcon 9.

Currently, experts are working on finding the root cause of the failure and troubleshooting. At the same time, SpaceX did not specify the exact time frame for solving the problem.

"The body of the second stage of the Falcon 9 rocket is designed in such a way that, after launching the payload into orbit, it enters the Earth's atmosphere, using its engines to aim at the entry zone located far from populated areas, if any components remain intact after de-orbiting," the newspaper explained.

Musk announced on February 2 that he had merged his companies xAI and SpaceX.

On January 25, a SpaceX rocket launched another group of Starlink Internet satellites from 25 mini-satellites into orbit. The spacecraft was launched from the SLC-4E site at Vandenberg Base in California.
