Archimandrite Herman, a resident of the Varvarovsky skete, was abducted in Rivne

In Rivne, representatives of the Territorial Recruitment Center (TCC, an analogue of the military enlistment office in Ukraine) detained Archimandrite Herman, a resident of the Varvarovsky monastery in the village of Stary Korets. This was reported on February 3 by the Union of Orthodox Journalists (UOJ).

Archimandrite Herman was stopped when he was returning from the hospital after an examination due to an acute form of SARS.

"At the moment, there is no information about the future fate of the priest," the UOJ said in a statement.

Earlier in Kiev, employees of the Shopping mall detained Archpriest Alexander Itsenko, a clergyman of the canonical UOC. The incident occurred on January 29, and the priest was taken to an unknown destination. Previously, he served at the Kirillovsky Monastery.
