Investigations into Epstein's case have begun in Lithuania and Turkey.
Investigations into the case of financier Jeffrey Epstein began in Lithuania and Turkey on February 3.
"Ankara's main Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into allegations against Turkey in an extensive set of documents provided by the U.S. Department of Justice," the Turkish newspaper Independent Turk reported, citing sources.
It is clarified that, according to the published documents, the little girls from Turkey were brought to the island allegedly belonging to Epstein. However, the children did not speak English, which caused difficulties.
At the moment, the Ankara Prosecutor's office is reviewing all sections related to Turkey. It is indicated that they were unable to find concrete evidence of crimes committed in Turkey.
A similar situation is happening in Lithuania.
"Currently, the published information is being studied, the legal framework is being analyzed, and information is being exchanged with partners. Employees strongly urge individuals with valuable information or victims of these alleged criminal acts to contact law enforcement agencies," the Delfi portal reported, citing a joint press release from the prosecutor's office and the country's police.
It is noted that a preliminary investigation into human trafficking has been launched.
