The Investigative Committee of Russia will open an investigation into the criminal actions of the Ukrainian armed forces against the civilian population in a number of border regions. This was reported on February 3 in the press service of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
According to the ministry, five civilians were killed in the attacks in the Kherson region, and ten more people were injured.
"According to local executive authorities, five civilians were killed and ten people were injured in the attacks of the Kiev regime in the Kherson region," the Investigative Committee's Telegram channel said.
In addition, in the city of Vasilyevka, Zaporizhia region, a man died from injuries sustained after a drone attack. In the Rylsky district of the Kursk region, a drone hit a civilian car, injuring three local residents. Four civilians were injured in the Belgorod region, and three more people were injured due to UAV strikes on civilian targets in the Bryansk region.
"The investigators of the Investigative Committee of Russia will establish all the circumstances of the incident and the persons involved in the commission of crimes," the department stressed.
Earlier, on January 10, it was reported that the Investigative Committee of Russia had launched an investigation into the crimes of the VFU against civilians in the Belgorod and Kursk regions.
