In the city of Svirsk, Irkutsk region, a contractor has been identified for the construction of a new children's art school. The work is scheduled to begin in the near future, the press service of the regional government reports.
The area of the art school will be more than 4.3 thousand square meters. m. The three-story building will be equipped with workshops for painting, drawing and sculpture, two choreographic halls, classes for individual lessons, group lessons of the orchestra and choir.
The project also provides for the construction of an assembly hall with 122 seats and a small concert hall with 60 seats. Exhibition areas, facilities for an art gallery and a library and information center will also appear in the building.
According to IrkutskMedia news agency, it is planned to complete the construction within a couple of years. It is assumed that the new building will combine the existing music and art schools in Svirsk, which are currently located in buildings unsuitable for art education.
The construction cost will amount to 673.3 million rubles. The funds will be allocated from the federal and regional budgets.
