In France, a school student attacked a teacher with a knife
A high school student in southeastern France attacked an art teacher with a knife, and the woman was hospitalized in critical condition, BFMTV reported on February 3.
"The teacher was taken to the hospital in a life-threatening condition. A 14—year-old teenager was taken into custody on suspicion of attempted murder," the article says.
The incident occurred in the commune of Sanary-sur-Mer near the city of Toulon. The prosecutor's office found that the student stabbed a 60-year-old woman three or four times. They fell on his stomach and arm.
According to preliminary data, before the teenager's attack, there was a quarrel between him and the teacher, during which the woman made several remarks to the student. French Education Minister Edouard Geffre expressed support for the victim and her family members, promising to personally investigate the circumstances of the incident.
