Ex-judge from Sochi Sluka was detained for abuse of authority
Valery Sluka, a former judge of the Central District Court of Sochi, was arrested on suspicion of abuse of office and making knowingly unlawful decisions. This was reported on February 3 in the press service of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation.
"Valery Sluki, a former judge of the Central District Court of Sochi, whose powers were terminated prematurely, was charged with seven counts of abuse of office and seven counts of making knowingly unlawful decisions," the agency's website says.
Szluka unreasonably accepted claims from citizens without actual consideration and examination of evidence, without involving representatives of the defendant and interested parties. Valery Sluka is currently under arrest, and investigative actions are ongoing.
According to RIA Novosti, Sluka's actions are related to the unlawful seizure of a 600-square-meter land plot from municipal ownership, the cost of which is more than 4,813,680 rubles. Subsequently, the court of appeal overturned these decisions and returned the land to the city.
On January 28, Bastrykin opened a criminal case against Valery Sluka, a judge of the Sochi District Court, for abuse of office. According to the investigation, Szluka committed the crimes in 2021-2022.
