The Arbitration Court of the Moscow region has introduced bankruptcy proceedings against blogger Sergei Domogatsky, suspected of fraud with the sale of villas on the island of Bali. This was stated on February 3 in a document available to Izvestia.

On January 24, it became known that the court had recovered 49 million rubles from the blogger in favor of the bankrupt company.

Domogatsky's villas were actively advertised on his social media and celebrity accounts, which promoted him as an honest and reliable developer. However, for three years, none of the buyers saw their property, and the blogger began to come up with excuses, after which he disappeared with the money.

According to Izvestia, Domogatsky purchased real estate in South Africa for $2 million, the same amount he used to defraud clients in a scheme to sell villas in Bali.

In November last year, Alexander Zorin, a lawyer for victims of Domogatsky's actions, reported that they were trying to declare the blogger bankrupt in the Arbitration Court of the Moscow region, and at least 36 statements about his crimes had been filed. At the same time, about 30 victims sought to bring Domogatsky to justice in Bali. Among them are not only citizens of Russia, but also from Ukraine, France, the USA, Belarus and the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
