The first domestic asphalt removal machine appeared in Russia
Bryansk company "GKMP" presented the first Russian road milling cutter. Such special equipment is designed to remove old asphalt and prepare the surface for a new road, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation said on February 3 in its Telegram channel.
The road milling cutter was named "Desna F". It is being developed and will be tested as part of a joint working group on import substitution of road construction equipment with the Ministry of Transport and Rosavtodor. This summer, the car will be sent for trial operation on the Moscow – Bobruisk highway.
Desna F has a domestic component base (including the YAMZ engine and Pneumostroymashina hydraulic motors). The milling width is 1300 mm, the depth is 225 mm. The advantages of the milling cutter are a comfortable and ergonomic operator's workplace, as well as high maneuverability.
In 2023, the special equipment project received R&D support from the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade. Last year, GKMP introduced the Desna-2100 asphalt paver, which was recognized by industry experts as the best asphalt paver of 2025, the ministry noted. The technology of unmanned asphalt paving is being created on the basis of this machine.
Earlier that day, it was reported that the Murommashzavod enterprise in the Vladimir region launched the production of steering rails with electric power for Aurus cars and electric gantry bridges for KamAZ electric buses. The total investment in the creation of a new production facility exceeded 2.2 billion rubles, of which 1.75 billion was provided by the Federal Fund for Industrial Development.
