- Zakharova called the negotiations with the United States work in the most difficult conditions
Negotiations between Russia and the United States are the most difficult work in the most difficult conditions. This was stated on February 3 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, at a meeting with students of the State University of Management (GUU) in Moscow.
"This is not a routine job. This is not a traditional negotiation: everything is fine with us, we have a standard relationship, you have come to us, it's our turn to come to you. This is the most difficult job in the most difficult conditions," RIA Novosti quoted her as saying.
She added that the international situation imposes serious restrictions on cooperation between the two countries. Negotiations are not limited to one track and require a multifaceted approach.
"This is not a single track of negotiations. This is not just the standard negotiations that are used to be conducted. This is the most difficult and painstaking work, which is carried out in a multifaceted manner," she added.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov called the talks with the United States in Miami constructive on February 2, but the details were not specified. Prior to that, on January 31, Dmitriev called the talks with representatives of US President Donald Trump productive in discussing issues of the US-Russian economic group.
