Moscow will help to introduce EMIAS in St. Petersburg polyclinics
The unified Medical Information and Analytical System (EMIAS) will be introduced in St. Petersburg polyclinics. The agreement was signed by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin and St. Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov.
Sobyanin stressed that both cities invest huge resources in the construction and reconstruction of polyclinics, hospitals, and the introduction of new technologies in them. "And, of course, in the modern world, the most important task is the digitalization of healthcare," the mayor of Moscow wrote on the MAX channel.
The unified medical Information and Analytical system has existed in Moscow since 2011, and a large-scale digital transformation of the capital's medicine began with it, Sobyanin recalled. According to him, the implementation of EMIAS in the outpatient network of St. Petersburg will be a continuation of the joint work that began in 2024, when St. Petersburg hospitals began to connect to the system.
As a result, it will be more convenient for residents of St. Petersburg to make an appointment with a doctor and for research online, Sobyanin noted. The service also allows you to view electronic medical records with the results of laboratory and instrumental examinations, protocols of doctors' examinations, medical examination history, medical certificates and other data.
Medical workers, in turn, will have access to an electronic registry and a centralized laboratory service for making appointments for tests and receiving their results electronically. They will also be able to use the telemedicine service for remote patient consultations and other opportunities. In addition, a medical decision support system based on artificial intelligence will be introduced in St. Petersburg polyclinics, which will help specialists in making diagnoses.
"We are glad that our experience is beneficial," concluded the mayor.
