The Venezuelan Ambassador announced the country's intention to cooperate with the Russian Federation in all areas.

Venezuela will continue to cooperate with Russia in all areas, despite the statements of the United States. This was announced on February 3 by the republic's Ambassador to Russia, Jesus Salazar Velazquez, speaking as part of a rally in support of the President of the Bolivarian Republic, Nicolas Maduro, and his wife, Celia Flores.

"Venezuela cannot be commanded by any foreign government, Venezuelans make decisions in Venezuela," he said, answering a question from TASS.

The Ambassador stressed that Venezuela has a sovereign government and the right to cooperate with any country in the world without external pressure.

Velasquez also thanked the participants of the rally at the Venezuelan Embassy in Moscow and stressed Russia's firm position in support of Venezuela and called for the speedy return of the country's leader.
