The head of Bashkiria promised to dismiss the school management in Ufa upon confirmation of bullying

The leadership of a gymnasium in Ufa, which was attacked by a ninth-grader with a machine gun, will be fired if the fact of bullying a student is confirmed. This was announced on February 3 by the head of Bashkiria Radiy Khabirov.

"My position has always been this: if we discover the fact of bullying, then we will sweep everyone out of here, [all] the school leadership, because they know in the republic that we have recently discussed this topic," Khabirov said.

He also noted that the student could have different motives, so the administration should find out exactly what could be the reason for the attack. Olga Panchikhina, the Commissioner for Children's Rights in Bashkiria, said that the ninth-grader's family was not registered and was safe.

The attack was reported earlier in the day. The ninth-grader was armed with a traumatic pistol. He's been detained. The First Deputy Prime Minister of Bashkortostan, Ural Kilsenbayev, said there were no casualties in the attack. The Interior Ministry in the region reported that the student went to the lesson with a plastic pneumatic machine gun. He fired several shots at a teacher, three classmates and detonated a firecracker.

Criminal cases were initiated against the defendant for attempted murder and negligence after the shooting at an educational institution in Ufa. According to the Izvestia source, a history teacher was allegedly injured in the student's attack.
