- The expanded business program of the Future Technologies Forum has been published
An expanded business program is posted on the website of the Future Technologies Forum, which will be held on February 26-27 at the World Trade Center in Moscow. The main theme of this year's Forum is "Bioeconomics for Humans". In total, the business program includes more than 25 discussions in four areas: "Technology: bioevolution", "Man: a new habitat", "Industries: sustainable development" and "Ecosystem: society strategy". The central event of the Forum will be the plenary session.
The forum will focus on the formation of bioeconomics in the Russian Federation and the application of biotechnologies in economic sectors in accordance with the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. The event is supported by the Government of the Russian Federation. The organizer is the Roscongress Foundation.
The forum will bring together Russian and foreign scientists, leading scientific organizations, major manufacturers, technology leaders in the field of bioeconomics and key departments responsible for the implementation of the national project to ensure technological leadership in the field of Bioeconomics.
Special attention will be paid to the implementation of the national project at the Forum. "By 2030, the targets include a 96% increase in the production of bioeconomics products and an increase in the share of domestic biotechnological products in the market to 55%. At the same time, 100% of industry companies should participate in the training, professional retraining and advanced training of personnel in the field of bioeconomics. The objectives are quite ambitious. Through joint efforts with business and the scientific community, they will definitely be resolved. In this regard, the Forum of Future Technologies is the most important platform for discussing the implementation of the national project, a place of open dialogue between science, business and the state for the development of technological sovereignty and innovative potential of Russia," said Denis Manturov, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Co—Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Forum of Future Technologies.
Participants of FBT-2026 will also discuss the prospects for the development of synthetic biology, personalized medicine and biopharmaceuticals, regenerative technologies and bioprinting, the integration of digital technologies into bio-production and agriculture, "green chemistry", cyborgization, new food ingredients and much more.
"Science, providing the necessary knowledge and technologies for the development of new biological products and processes, is becoming the engine of transformation of the domestic industry, opening a new chapter in the development of bioeconomics. These days, Moscow will become a global hub for discussing the future of biotechnology and innovative solutions. The development of bioeconomics is an investment in long—term sustainability: Today, scientists, businesses, and government officials are jointly laying the foundation for industries that will shape the economy of the next decades. After all, as our President said, bioeconomics is the most important topic in terms of the quality of global growth," said Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.
Bioevolution and biotechnology will be the central focus of the event. The participants will discuss the prospects for the development of personalized medicine and biopharmaceuticals, regenerative technologies and bioprinting.
"Russia's technological leadership in critical areas, including bioeconomics, is one of the priority national goals set by Russian President Vladimir Putin. Our country has significant scientific potential in such fields as industrial microbiology, biotechnology, genetics and bioinformatics. This creates a solid foundation for the development of innovative projects and improving Russia's international competitiveness. I am confident that the Future Technologies Forum will once again become a platform for productive dialogue, knowledge exchange and the development of new practical initiatives," said Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation and Executive Secretary of the Organizing Committee of the Future Technologies Forum.
Special attention during the Future Technologies Forum will be paid to the integration of digital technologies into bio-production and agriculture. Nuclear technologies in the context of bioeconomics will present new applications in medicine, agriculture and ecology. Experts will consider the prospects for the development of autonomous nuclear power plants and personalized nuclear medicine. The Forum will present innovative solutions in the field of bioenergy, genetic technologies and NBICS convergence.
