A student at a gymnasium in Ufa told about the teenager's plans to attack the school

The ninth-grader who organized the armed attack on the gymnasium in Ufa had planned it in advance. He announced his intentions on social media last night. On February 3, Izvestia was told about this by a student at the school where the shooting took place.

According to him, at the time of the attack, the teenager used an incendiary grenade, according to preliminary information, a firecracker, threw it into the snow, and also reloaded the weapon.

"That is, that everything was planned in advance. Yesterday it was known for sure, tonight he posted a photo with the caption that "everything, tomorrow will be <...>. He wrote that tomorrow was his last day at school. It was a caption to a photo where he was holding a machine gun," the boy shared.

The student added that the reason for the ninth-grader's attack could be a misunderstanding on the part of students and teachers.

"He wrote that the teachers don't understand, he's unhappy with life, well, he's really unstable," he said.

Another student also added that the students were writing a test at the blackboard when shots rang out in the hallway and there was a strong smell of gunpowder.

"A terrible explosion thundered near our door. <...> There was a firecracker lying nearby," she recalls.

The attack was reported earlier in the day. It was clarified that the ninth-grader was armed with a traumatic pistol. As a result of the incident, he was detained.

The Interior Ministry in the region noted that the student went to the lesson with a plastic pneumatic machine. He fired several shots at a teacher, three classmates and detonated a firecracker.

The Investigative Committee (IC) for the Republic of Bashkortostan has opened criminal cases of attempted murder and negligence after the school shooting. According to the Izvestia source, a history teacher was allegedly injured in the student's attack, and he is currently receiving medical attention.
