The children of Deputy Doroshenko could not appeal the arrest in the fraud case

The Krasnodar Regional Court has remanded in custody two children of State Duma deputy Andrei Doroshenko in a fraud case. This was reported on February 3 in the joint press service of the courts of the Krasnodar Territory.

"The measure remains unchanged," the press service of the regional courts told RIA Novosti.

The children of State Duma Deputy Andrei Doroshenko, Milana and Eldar, are involved in a criminal case of fraud committed by an organized group or on an especially large scale, follows from the materials of the Krasnodar Regional Court, where an appeal against the decision to choose a preventive measure in the form of detention was considered, TASS clarified.

As indicated in the court documents, they are charged with Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, which provides for liability for fraud committed by an organized group or on an especially large scale.

On January 28, the Central District Court of Sochi granted the request of the investigative authorities and ordered the arrest of Doroshenko's children. It was noted that the details of the criminal case were not disclosed in the interests of the investigation.

On January 20, the Russian Prosecutor General's Office filed a lawsuit to seize the assets of Andrei Doroshenko, Anatoly Voronovsky and other deputies. The claim was related to a corruption scheme in the road sector of the Krasnodar Territory.

On November 11 last year, State Duma deputies unanimously supported the arguments of Prosecutor General Alexander Gutan, agreeing to lift immunity and initiate proceedings against Voronovsky.

On November 10, Otari Arshba, the head of the commission for monitoring the reliability of information on income, property and property obligations, as well as on mandatory issues, announced that Voronovsky was suspected of bribery. It was noted that a criminal case could be initiated against him under Part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Receiving a particularly large bribe").
