Ovechkin breaks Gretzky's record for points scored for one club in the NHL

On February 3, Russian forward of the Washington Capitals hockey club Alexander Ovechkin beat Canadian hockey player Wayne Gretzky in the number of points scored for one club in National Hockey League (NHL) matches.

Ovechkin set his new record during the match against the New York Islanders. An assist in the 26th minute allowed him to score 1,670 points (919 goals and 751 assists) during his NHL career.

Currently, the athlete ranks fifth in the ranking of players in terms of the number of points scored per club.
