The body of a nine-year-old boy with bound legs was recovered from a frozen waterfall in the Leningrad region. This was reported on February 3 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the scene.

Earlier that day, it was reported that a body, presumably belonging to a nine-year-old Pasha, was found in a frozen reservoir near the Lower Shingersky Waterfall. Locals noticed the clothes and briefcase under the ice.

Earlier, on February 1, it was reported that the search for the missing nine-year-old boy continued in St. Petersburg for several days, involving police and volunteers. The investigation checked all possible versions and studied the recordings from the surveillance cameras.

On February 2, it became known about the detention of a previously convicted man suspected of kidnapping a child. According to the investigation, he confessed to drowning the boy in a local reservoir.
