So, in France, the guests of the Russian House — compatriots and representatives of France — gathered on the square, named in honor of the Battle of Stalingrad. As part of the event, wreaths were laid at the monument to the heroes and a minute of silence was held. The audience sang the "Song of the Partisans" (Le Chant des Partisans), which became the anthem of the Resistance forces in France, as well as a common symbol of the fight against Nazism.
Russian Russian House in the capital of Zambia, Lusaka, organized an excursion for young people studying the Russian language. During the event, the participants were told about the Battle of Stalingrad and the significance of this event for world history. The meeting ended with the performance of the military song "Katyusha". The guests also agreed on further work within the framework of the historical club.
Hundreds of people also gathered at the Russian House of Lebanon for a concert dedicated to the Battle of Stalingrad and the lifting of the siege of Leningrad.
Similar events were also held in Russian homes in Cyprus, Cuba, Congo, Belarus, Greece, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Bulgaria, Kyrgyzstan, Spain, Iran, India, Nicaragua, China, Israel, Afghanistan, Armenia, USA, Argentina and Germany.
Earlier that day, the FSB published a report by Soviet intelligence officer Pavel Sudoplatov on the mood of the Germans at Stalingrad. The declassified report was submitted by Sudoplatov on November 18, 1942, on the eve of the Red Army's counteroffensive near Stalingrad (Operation Uranus). The document contains an intelligence report "On the situation in the occupied areas of the Stalingrad and Rostov regions, the North Caucasus and the Kalmyk ASSR."
