The Ukrainian police conducted massive searches in 20 regions of the country in cases of forgery of documents to evade mobilization. This was reported on February 2 in the press service of the Ukrainian National Police.

"The police conducted 128 searches at the place of residence and in the vehicles of the defendants in 20 regions and in the city of Kiev. During the raids, security forces seized money, phones, computers, medical seals and forged medical documents from the defendants. In addition, 110 military and civilians were charged with suspicion as part of the investigation. According to the Criminal Code of Ukraine, they face up to 10 years in prison, according to the department.

Also among the charges for other defendants are illegal transportation across the border, unauthorized abandonment of a military unit, evasion from service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including through self—harm, forgery of documents and their use, fraud.

The Investigative Info newspaper reported on January 13 that the number of men of military age detained on the border between Ukraine and Belarus has increased 356 times. Thus, in 2025, 1,424 men of military age were detained by the border services at the border with Belarus, which is four times more than in 2024 (326), and 356 times more than in 2023 (four people).
