Designers from almost 100 cities have applied to participate in the Moscow Fashion Week

Moscow Fashion Week has received over a thousand applications from designers from 67 regions of Russia, said Deputy Mayor Natalia Sergunina.

"The geography of applications covers almost 100 cities — from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok. For the first time, they were sent by brands from Armavir, Torzhok, Naryan-Mar, Sterlitamak and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. A third of the applications were sent by the capital's designers," Sergunina noted.

The event will take place for the sixth time in the Central Exhibition Hall "Manege" from March 14 to March 19. Collections of about 200 brands will be presented there.

The final composition of the participants will be determined by the expert council, which includes the editors-in-chief of specialized publications, stylists, and founders of large retail sites.

In addition to fashion shows and lectures by experts, the program includes the World Fashion Shorts short Film Festival. In the Arena, visitors will be able to purchase clothes, shoes and accessories of domestic brands.

The event is organized by the Fashion Foundation with the support of the Moscow government.
