Specialists in the Kirov region were able to lift all derailed freight train cars on the Orichi–Shalegovo railway section, the press service of the regional government reported on February 2.
"All the cars that left the tracks on the Orichi – Shalegovo section have been lifted, and the power supply has been restored. Work is currently underway to repair the damaged tracks," the Telegram channel of the authorities says.
In the future, it is planned to open traffic on one of the tracks during the day. It is also reported that passengers of electric trains and some long-distance trains will be able to reach their destinations on passenger buses. For this purpose, the Kirovpassazhiravtotrans company allocated 25 cars.
The derailment of 21 freight train cars on February 1 disrupted traffic on the Gorky Railway in the Kirov region. There are no casualties. The operational headquarters of the Gorky Railway was established to coordinate work to eliminate the consequences of the emergency.
The Federal Passenger Company (FPC) of Russian Railways clarified that 20 passenger trains were delayed due to the derailment of freight train cars in the Kirov region.
