Russian Post launched parcel delivery by recipient's phone number

Russian Post has introduced a new service that allows you to send parcels by the recipient's phone number. The sender no longer needs to specify the exact address or full name of the recipient, it is enough to enter his phone number in international format when registering online. This was announced on February 2 on the official website of the Russian Post.

"When registering online, it is enough to enter the recipient's phone number in an international format. When sending from the post office, you only need to name it to the Post Office employee," the message says.

In order for the recipient to pick up the parcel, he must agree to connect the delivery service by phone number by registering on the website or in the mobile application of the Russian Post. If the user already has an electronic signature, the connection will happen instantly. You can also get a signature through the public services portal.

The package will be addressed on demand, and the service connection is free of charge. The recipient will be able to track their parcel using the tracking number and pick it up at a convenient post office linked to their profile.

The new service simplifies the sending process, allowing you to avoid errors in addresses and reducing the time needed to find the correct index.
