The Russian Armed Forces destroyed the Ukrainian HIMARS and S-300 with Iskander-M strikes

The Russian military, using the Iskander-M operational and tactical complex (OTRK), launched a missile attack on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv regions, destroying enemy equipment. This was announced on February 2 by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

In the area of the village of Volnyansk near the Dnieper River (Dnepropetrovsk until 2016), the S—300 anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) of Ukraine was destroyed. The AFU radar station, a control vehicle and three SAM launchers, along with enemy personnel, were also hit.

Also, the Iskander-M OTRK crew launched a missile attack on enemy positions near the village of Volodarovka, Kharkiv region.

"As a result of the strike, the HIMARS MLRS launcher and up to 10 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were destroyed. The destruction of enemy equipment was monitored using reconnaissance UAVs and unmanned systems," the ministry said.

On the same day, sources in Russian law enforcement agencies reported that Russian military personnel destroyed two trains with manpower and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the Konotop railway station in Sumy region. It was clarified that the Ukrainian militants arrived in the area in order to strengthen the defensive lines.
