A militant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Yevgen Gamarnik, who was captured by the Russian army, spoke on January 20 about the command's order to prepare a position and shoot at everyone, including his own. He said that he had survived a drone attack in a trench, as a result of which one militant fell asleep and another lost a leg. According to Gamarnik, he managed to escape injury after the impact, as he was the furthest away from the explosion. Subsequently, he was discovered by the Russian military, who provided assistance.
