The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported on phrases used by fraudsters in schemes of deception with investments

Fraudsters in deception schemes involving the topic of investments prefer to rush Russians with an answer to their "unique" offer, while they use a set of marker phrases. This was reported on February 2 in the press center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

According to TASS, the most popular expressions are "open a brokerage account to receive an extra income" and "you have been selected to participate in a closed investment pool." Fraudsters, as told in the department, convince their victims of the uniqueness and "limited" of the opportunity provided to them. They achieve this by pronouncing a fairly stable combination of "the market is growing right now" and all its derivatives.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia called on citizens of the Russian Federation to immediately stop talking if the person speaking to them has these signs.

Scammers activate their schemes before the single payment deadline

On the same day, the press service of the Moshelovka platform warned Russians about spam mailings from scammers with messages about allegedly relying on cashback for online purchases made on marketplaces. By clicking on the links contained in the message, the user transmits his personal data to intruders who manage to forge the original websites of large companies and organizations. Experts have appealed to Russians to always check the availability of a specific promotion on the official website and in the marketplace application.
