Soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces shared the details of the liberation of the village of Zelenoe, Kharkiv region

Soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces (AF) of the 9th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 11th Army Corps of the North group of forces shared the details of the liberation of the village of Zelenoe in the Kharkiv region. The relevant footage is published by the Russian Ministry of Defense on February 2.

The assault in the village was preceded by artillery training of the 11th Army Corps. Units of the 18th Motorized Rifle Division's unmanned systems played a significant role in the operation, providing reconnaissance and fire correction.

Russian assault groups also took advantage of the weather conditions: warming, high humidity and fog made it difficult for enemy drones to operate and provided natural camouflage. Fighters of the North group of forces continue to expand the security buffer zone along the border to prevent shelling and attacks by Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) on Russian border territories.

"As a result of active actions, units of the North group of forces liberated the village of Zelenoe in the Kharkiv region. The formations of three mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were defeated," said Yaroslav Yakimkin, head of the press center of the North group of forces.

On February 1, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Russian fighters had taken control of the settlements of Zelenoe in the Kharkiv region and Sukhetskoye in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). It was clarified that the units of the North group were engaged in the liberation of the Zelenoe settlement.
