Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping are engaged in an active dialogue and will continue it on a regular basis in 2026. This was announced on February 1 by the Secretary of the Russian Security Council, Sergei Shoigu.

"The heads of our states maintain friendly relations and conduct the most active dialogue. Therefore, it is quite natural that this year such communication will continue on a regular basis," he said after a meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
