NASA has signed an agreement to launch the fifth private expedition to the ISS.
The fifth tourist aerospace mission jointly with Axiom Space is tentatively scheduled for January 2027. This was announced on February 1 by the American space agency NASA .
"NASA and Axiom Space have signed a contract to conduct the fifth private space mission to the International Space Station, which is scheduled to launch no earlier than January 2027 from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida," the statement said.
The Axiom-5 mission is expected to last up to two weeks aboard the ISS. The exact launch date will be determined based on the overall movement of the spacecraft in orbit.
The crew has not yet been confirmed, but NASA has announced that Axiom Space plans to submit four candidates.
